Now in its 22nd year, the bi-annual Hugo Boss Prize honors outstanding achievement in contemporary art. In conjunction with the Hugo Boss Prize 2018, the Guggenheim presents this innovative, deluxe publication. A custom slipcase contains six double-sided posters illustrating projects by the finalists-Bouchra Khalili, Simone Leigh, Teresa Margolles, Emeka Ogboh, Frances Stark, and Wu Tsang-and, on the verso, newly commissioned essays by boychild, Fred Moten, Ugochukwu-Smooth C. Nzewi, Taiyana Pimentel, Sharifa Rhodes-Pitts, Frances Stark, and Wu Tsang. The posters are enfolded within a portfolio featuring introductions from Richard Armstrong, Director, Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and Foundation; Dr. Hjördis Kettenbach, Head of Cultural Affairs, Hugo Boss AG; and Susan Thompson, Assistant Curator, Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum.
