Karen Konzuk

Karen Konzuk aspires to create jewelry that is more wearable architecture than simple accessory. A graduate of the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, Karen earned a BFA with a major in Jewelry Design and a minor in Art History, and introduced her jewelry company shortly thereafter. While Karen’s formal education focused heavily on working with traditional precious metals, she has always shied away from mainstream expectations and began to experiment with stainless steel after completing her studies. Karen has been inspired by and worked with the unorthodox materials ever since.

In her Bloom collection, which developed serendipitously as if through a call-and-response between the designer and Hilma af Klint, Karen has specially produced a series of exclusive color combinations inspired by af Klint’s paintings. Bloom offers a modern salute to the work of the artist, to be worn by the contemporary woman in a bracelet, earrings, necklaces, and ring.
