Benjamin Hélion and Benjamin Lanot

Finally, an illustrated biography celebrates Pegeen Vail Guggenheim, the talented painter and daughter of the most famous art collector, Peggy Guggenheim. Although an entire room is dedicated to her at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice, Pegeen, who died forty-three years ago, has remained virtually unknown until now.

This book is composed of biographical text, illustrated with images tracing the life of the artist. It combines reproductions of Pegeen Vail Guggenheim's work with archival photographs as well as the works of great painters that represented her or were inspred by her, including Ernst, Tanguy, Hélion, Brauner and Constantini.
