This stunning chandelier takes its inspiration from the Guggenheim Museum's iconic architecture. Designed by Kathleen Plate, owner and designer for Smart Glass, the fixture is made by hand from recycled glass which is mounted to a powder coated spiral armature that wraps around a central globe light. 40" in diameter and 39" deep, the chandelier attaches to ceiling with four bolts. Each piece of Smart Glass is handcrafted in the Atlanta studio of artist Kathleen Plate and features recycled glass. Kathleen grew up in a solar house where recycling and taking care of the environment were a part of daily life. She carries on this tradition by transforming everyday bottles into jewelry. The colorful glass used in her pieces are individually selected and cut, ensuring that each Smart Glass piece is unique.
